Hungry Cash Deposit Machine

wow...was super pissed at the cash deposit machine at harbourfront this evening...kinda unexpected but got very angry when i was going to deposit 30 bucks into my account using the new kind of cash deposit machine...i slotted in the 30 bucks and then turned out that they returned me my card but they said something like there was an error and there was no receipt given to me which felt strange...but no money came out of the slot back to me! then i double checked with the atm beside the cash deposit machine to see if the money was inside...and true enough the money wasnt...=.=

and that time the bank was already closed since it was past 6 then there was this man who pointed to me a hotline number pasted on the cash deposit machine and so i called the hotline and they said that they will do some investigations and if everything goes well then i will receive the money back into my account by 6pm tmr and they will send me a sms...

for me i have the habit of placing most of my money into the bank and carry with me a little amount that i think would be enough to last me the day to prevent myself from splurging so much as i rarely go to the atm and withdraw cash unless absolutely necessary

but anyways i thank God that it was only 30 (ok la...30 is oso money)...but i thank God that it wasnt a huge sum of hundreds of dollars...cant imagine what my reaction would be like if i lost hundreds of dollars...

ppl pls beware when u are depositing yr money...this is the first time things like this happened to me throughout the 4 yrs ive used the cash deposit machine and i dun think it will be the last...super scary when the negative side of technology falls on u...well...and a lesson ive learnt today is dont take even the simplest things like these for granted...have to thank God for every successful withdrawal/deposit....

Quiznos

wow! was eating wif churchies at quiznos at square 2 at novena just now...quiznos is subway's rival and omg! it was my first time eating there and omg! i must say that its much better than subway! and the cinnamon cookie was awesome!!! =)
.

and yep...im not going to spain anymore this holiday cos tour couldnt confirm cos of too few ppl in the tour...so im going to italy instead on 11 june! haha...that includes places like rome, milan and VENICE!!!! woo....im so looking forward to the trip!! but i dun understand why of all airlines must give us turkish airlines and transit at istanbul (capital of turkey)...kinda scared about flying with that airlines but its either i fly wif turkish or dont go at all...and of course im not the sort who's paranoid enough not to go just because its turkish airlines...oh well...just have to pray for safety and that baggages wont get lost during the transit otherwise gonna spoil my mood for the trip....xD

Ohana

"ohana means family, and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten"...=)

im sure if u have watched that movie before would have guessed that this quote was taken from the movie lilo and stitch...yep...was randomly watching the movie just now...and i realize that its actually rather touching if u asked me...

when i first watched this movie i was only p6 and probably still didnt understand much about things around me but now that im much older, i start to understand things better...and actually some of these old disney films actually carry some good morals..and since ive had that film appreciation class last sem, i begin to learn to be able to appreciate and understand films better....and come to think of it, sometimes its better to watch some of these cartoons or animations cos most of it that i watched contains better morals than some action film that doesnt reli teach anything much...action movies like transformers rock too and i love those alot too...but they dont reli teach anything...xD (of course im not saying ALL animations)

some other pretty touching disney films include brother bear, mulan and lion king...well, no one's ever too old for disney if u grew up with them...cos it actually brings out the child in u...=)

and well...let the definition of ohana stay in our hearts of what a family really ought to be...and church is supposed to be a family as well, so this definition goes out to God's people the same...to not forget and leave anyone behind...simply cos of love....=)

Change = differentiation = dy/dx?

everyone is posting graduation pictures on facebook...old friends from sec sch who went to poly and ppl from my dmd course in nyp...all of them are posting happy pictures with their own group on facebook, and i can literally see my fb home page flooding with happy people, happy that their tertiary life is over, and photos that represent their final hours tgt as poly mates...me, on the other hand, have another 2 more years of battle before i can post mine up...

i know its been a long time and ive come so far since ive started moving on, but it seems like things just move along at my pace to catch up with me...but this shows that there is still pain since the time i left poly....its already quite painful to know that im lagging behind other ppl...

so many things have changed over the past few years but i cant reli feel the impact of most of the changes tat happened so far, with only a few major changes here and there tat quite affected me in some way...but the many things tat are about to change tat i can forsee are reli scary, the changes tat are about to happen seems like its coming altogether at one go, a speed i can say that is equivalent to the speed of a tsunami...and the rate that things are starting to change is already scary enough...good friends and buddies are either gg into ns one by one, working or gg overseas...its like a mass exodus of close ppl leaving my life all at one go and most of the fun is beginning to end...and already tmr one of my reli gd buddies is already enlisting...and its reli going to be super hard to meet up wif ppl esp when sch starts and i'll be packed with assignments no longer of the year 1 kind and my social life will alr have a mass decrease...and it feels like im going to be suddenly drifting apart from so many ppl in my life all at one shot...

and this is only one of the mass changes that's gonna happen...(although it plays a huge major part)...but there are a few other changes that i have to be prepared to ''eat''...

and im feeling kind of worried that a similar saga as the one in poly might happen again although for now i cant see any happening...but it was the same kind in poly...yr 1 was fine and i never thought that things would change in the 2nd yr and i never expected to see myself end up in where i am now...though God led me in to this path, it seems hard for me to trust God for what is about to come from year 2 onwards...from the looks of what im going to study in yr 2 and 3, it seems like its stuffs that im interested in and i like to do...but ill never know what can happen...i dont reli dare to feel at ease that things are going to be ok this time round...i know that God is in control of everything but it seems so hard for me now to feel at ease....

now for chim stuffs...(if u can get it, means u can get it, and if u cant get it, means u cant get it)...and then i was reminded of the amaths topic of differentiation

differentiation and integration are 2 of my fav amaths topics...i rmb how easy for me to open up my tys and start doing the questions but quite hard for me to stop...its a big bonus if one likes these 2 topics cos these 2 topics are major topics in the amaths syllabus...yesterday, today and probably tomorrow (provided they dont bring it down to emaths)...well...i rmb mr tan soon yong telling our class since the end of sec 3 tat these 2 topics are topics which, "if u can get it, that means u can get it, and if u cant means u cant"...and u cant afford to give up on these 2 topics cos its and subtopics of differentiation include things like finding gradient of curve at a particular point on the graph, approximate changes and rates of change...

well, life is never a linear graph, where the gradients are forever constant, but rather a super complex curve where the gradient never stops changing...in maths in the topic under graphs, we are taught tat y = mx + c (basic linear graph) and equations of graphs of other powers where, let the power be n, is y = ax^n + bx^(n-1) + cx^(n-2) + ...... + c....but no matter how far our graphs may go, as long as we have a c (y intercept), we at least have something to hold on to and something to turn to...and this can only happen when we, the x, choose to stay as the base and not the power...as when we decide to let the power be the variable, we would never intercept the y-axis

Tokyo Sky Tree

u might have heard about it before or u might not...but tokyo's coming up with this tower called Sky Tree tats going to be taller dan taipei 101!!! wooohooo!!!! go japan!!! hopefully i can go there to see it when it comes up...hahahaha...gonna be ready in 2012...but quite scary to go up there oso...lol...but i think this is enough to spoil alot of markets...

"its a small world after all"

haha...went to this ride in disneyland tokyo last year and i like it not cos the ride is thrilling and stuffs...but i love the surrealism feeling when the boat brought us inside...it feels like ive been brought into a whole new world...recommended this to the jappies but unfortunately not their taste...haha...(gomenasai!!)...

and this is interesting...a harry potter world coming up in orlando...

maybe u might think that i soui just like to read up and get to know about places and culture from all over the world...i think its quite interesting to know more about the cultures of other places and as well as cos it keeps my mind open...learning about travel stuff basically out of my own interest la...and prolly the source of my inspirations for my future artworks...[dun 'xiao kan' (look down on) artists/designers and think that we only know how to draw hor...we have to know our world too...otherwise where do u think we get all the cool creative ideas from?]

its either that or ive not fully woken up to reality...or it can be both.

Outing with the Jappies

i wish i could own one of these tatami mats...unfortunately its ex, unnecessary and ive gt no place to put in my house...

anyways...here comes the main point...met up wif the jappies -tim, brian and jess once again for singing session and after which had dinner and chit chat...prolly the last session since tim and brian enlisting early next month...(hopefully can have 1 more session)...hahaha...well...the thing about the 4 of us is that we share one main thing in common - JAPAN!! =) (although it would take ages for me to catch up with their jap language)....and therefore usually we would chat about the topic about japan almost 3/4 of the time when we chit chat...just like just now right after the k session...from walking from chinatown to central to dinner and to liang court...our topic is mostly about japan and japanese stuffs...and somemore they just returned from tokyo last month, and i oso went there last yr dec, so all the more we would talk about tokyo...hehehe...and we never get tired of talking about it...hehehe...xD

and yep...this remains as my all-time favorite japan foto

p.s. this wasnt taken in tokyo...it was taken in hakodate during my first round to japan...

Holiday Plans

well...ive got alot of things lined up for me this holiday...quite alot of things i intend to pack myself with...too many in fact til i have to decide which one to take up...and well...so many catch-ups to do as well before buddies get enlisted....but first and foremost...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WINSON!!! =D...enjoy yr day! =)

anyways...ive been offered a job as introed by qx to sell jewelleries at marina...well im half-keen on taking up the job and half-not-very-keen...going to the interview this wk and see how it goes ba...in fact im still struggling whether or not to go for the interview...anyways i cant work for long...at first i thought of wanting to take a good break this holiday before the sch term and ive gt quite a few things in mind to do...but i also sort of feel like working...aiya...i cant have best of both worlds...but yep...some of my holiday plans are as follows:

1. europe trip
2. catching up with buddies
3. do more artworks to build up my portfolio wif...
4. cooking classes (just another of my interest...though i cant cook for nuts)
5. more swimming and exercising

and omg...another thing...i saw on nafa's studentnet that they are offering some of those 1-credit Singapore Arts Scene (SAS) modules this holiday as well...SAS modules are basically modules tat are supposed to give u a brief introduction to the various art industries in singapore - 3d design, theatre, music, fine art, design n media (im not allowed to take this), arts management (taken alr), dance, fashion...and throughout the 3yrs in nafa im supposed to take altgt 3 of it starting from yr 1 sem2 onwards (how many of these modules u take in a sem is up to u)...and they are offering the music one this holiday and theyre doing a crash course towards the end of june...

thinking of taking it since its a 1 credit module so tat i have a less of a burden when sch starts...but they are doing a crash course arnd 3-4 wks before the term starts, 6hrs on mon, wed fri...but at the same time feeling lazy cos feels quite weird going to sch on holiday...its like taking up remedials like tat...hmmm...

for now in the mean time ill just rest and relax first...

well...presentation is finally over and done with...but that would also mean its my last day being a yr 1 and part of 1G...gonna miss these peeps alot when we get split into our different majors...

its been pretty fun this whole year...got to know new ppl...not only singaporeans but ppl from other countries as well (mostly SE asia) like china, philippines, vietnam, indo, india and china...can be quite interesting learning and exchanging cultures from other countries...hence i dont only learn art in nafa...haha..this is a bonus...hehehe...

but all in all i've learnt quite alot this whole 1 year...

and yep...as we move on to yr 2, another new chapter is about to unfold...pretty excited...=)

Enchanted

was watching enchanted just now on channel 5...the 2nd time im watching it since i watched it in theatres really long ago in 2007 sometime before my birthday period...prolly u might think its a kinda girly show but i think its nice and touching...and the directors are pretty creative...(im a sucker for creative stuffs)...and the animation is nice! i like how they try to merge the fairytale world and reality in a movie altogether...really good illustration of the shock people like us get when we are forced to wake up to reality...a world where happily ever after never exists but instead a world full of pain and tears....and i like the soundtracks...and of all the soundtracks this is my favorite....

So Close...

and yep...this is one of my favorite scenes in the movie...really touching....=)
