yep, 1 week of school has passed and well...got loads of work to do already...no surprise cos this is year 2 already...and i love my new class though its rather small...still in the process of adapting to the new class and each other, but the first week has been rather nice...lecturers seemed ok and quite nice...
hmmm in spite of the tons of homework that came flooding into my life since day 1 already, i began to realize one thing, and that is this course that ive chosen seems to really be the right one for me...amidst all the complaints ive posted on my fb about having lots of work, im rather enjoying what im doing right now as compared to 2 years back when i was in interactive media in nyp...really ought to thank God for His mercy and grace...=)
the next few months aint going to be easy months...im gonna have to forgo alot of outings...but well those upcoming appointments for 21st birthday celebrations and the rcc bbq will definitely be a must go so dont worry folks and buddies...=)

Nafa module registration system can go fly kite
grrr...this is the con of a first come first served basis in terms of module registration for elective module...thank goodness i arrived at the system early and so i managed to register my modules in time...now some of the others im talking to online on fb/msn cant log in cos the system's jammed up...everyone's fighting to log in early so as to get the electives they want before it gets full wif no more vacancy...
this is the 2nd time the registration system spoilt my mood...the first being last yr during my church camp...i rmb i had to borrow james' lappie to do the registration at tan tock seng hospital food court...had a big headache thinking of where to fit in the electives i wanted into my class timetable...and the SAS module i wanted at that time were all gone as well and in the end i forced myself to take that arts management...but eventually i managed to plan my timetable quite nicely...but to be honest, for that day it half-spoilt my mood for the amazing race (to james if u are reading it)...HAHA! xD
the system says that registration for the yr 2s begins today, 8th july at 9am...the yr 3s got to register first, 3 days before our turn...and i already predicted that there might not be any more vacancy for what i wanted and true enough, there's already no more vacancy for that SAS music or SAS dance when i was registering ...heng for me i managed to get the theatre one in time...but that would mean that i have to travel all the way to sch for a 1 hr lesson on fridays...the dance one at least is 2 hrs so not that bad...plus 7 wks nia and that means after 7 wks, no more classes on fridays already...such a waste of time and ez link card money on fridays when i can sleep in more and stay at home to work on my assignments...and the timings they gave for the electives seriously suck this time round..
i think the system's pretty unfair cos the 8 SAS modules class sizes are so tiny and the yr 3s from the whole of nafa get to occupy the spaces first...(last yr was yr 3, followed by yr 2 and we were the last to be able to register)...and in order to graduate in time, we must take 3 out of the 8 SAS modules...and this is the 2nd time alot of ppl couldnt get ANY SAS modules cos all of them were already full...but well...i still needa thank God that im able to get it in time...
and another thing i needa thank God for is ive got the class ive wanted! yay! =D (though im prolly gonna be so groggy and grumpy coming to sch after overnight battles with assignments) but nevertheless, yay! =D
and matt, be prepared for a ride of yr life as yr 2 starts! God, give me strength to run and finish it well!! =)

The will
was having a random catch up wif some old friends this afternoon and we were having a random chill session at starbucks and somehow we chatted and i dunno how, but we eventually came to the topic of a will...oh well...fancy a bunch of 20-year-olds-to-be talking about this depressing topic at our age..
this topic of 'life and death' has started since last sat at macdonald's wif some church ppl so tdy wasnt part 1 for me already...but hmm...what kind of things would u wanna consider to include in a will in future? hehe...hmmm...for us maybe we are still too young to think about this now cos we are still penniless and prolly still too young to create a will...but imagining u were some rich man in the near future and u had alot of stuff...how are u gonna divide yr riches? and this also led us to talking about, if say for instance, if we had around 3 months to live and could have a will to divide all our current belongings and valuables such as iphones, psp, laptops, gucci wallets and etc...who will we wanna pass those belongings to? haha...quite thought-provoking eh? all those stuffs sitting and collecting dust in my room...how do u think u are gonna settle them? otherwise prolly gonna sell them online or something and get some cash which could be useful for the family eh..
haha...ok now to switch topic, i so wanna watch despicable me! haha...i wish i could have those bunch of little minions for myself...hahaha...life would be rather easy if i had them...prolly i would get them to help me do alot of wicked stuffs like stealing the whole art friend for myself...xD...the movie should have been shown earlier this yr so that i could use gru as my isp character! hahahaha...have alot of things in mind to do if i had those minions all to myself...hehehe...xD...
something i feel rather sad about is that not many people actually know how to appreciate cartoons and animations or much less, appreciate the creativity that the directors put in to keep the show alive...imagine working for 5 years on a 2 hr animation and it ends up being insulted upon as "a kid's show" or maybe commented as boring by people who dont really know how to appreciate them though its something that cant be blamed...different ppl have diff taste buds...art is something that's prolly not appreciated by many...i still have a big dream that one day i'll eventually come up wif some animated movie that people will go to the cinema and watch my movie though its something im prolly not going to pursue with all my strength...
nevertheless, ive been working on and creating random characters and trying to come up with random storylines for the character...quite fun creating my own stories but pretty shy to share it...hehehe....xD
and oh man...another few more hours to know whether im being thrown into the lion's den...so scary...

Period....
something else just came my way and i feel so pissed off now...reli feeling pissed cos of something unfair...
ok heres the rule we have to play by if we were from the previous yr 2 batch: aside from our core modules from our own major, we have to take at least one cross-major elective...for example, if i were to choose illustration as my major, i have to choose at least 1 module from another major like video production, advertising etc based on the list given...and u are free to choose whatever elective u want at whatever available time slot there is as long as it doesnt clash with yr core modules...
but now, we arent given that freedom to choose wat we wanna take! now we have to take whatever COMPULSORY cross-major elective that is given in the timetable...good thing is, what they forced us to take (my major) aint that bad...but im pretty bored of typographical stuffs already...but theres something else im more interested in taking which is either intro to scriptwriting or intro to copywriting!...grrr...what's the point of them still calling it an ELECTIVE when we arent even allowed to choose?!!!
and i seriously thank God im not this yr's batch of yr 1s...they practically changed alot of the system for yr 1s and they're gonna have a harder life....
oh well...life aint always fair...theres no rules for life to abide by anyways...so wat's the meaning of fair if thats the case....

Timetable is evil
timetable 2K
timetable 2Ltimetables are out and these are the 2 classes that are conducted for my chosen major- illustration design...and MS LYE DOMINATES THAT 2K!!! (go and find out from my archives slowly if u wanna know why) shes the FORM TEACHER of that class and shes teaching not 1 but 2 modules and on top of that shes taking that class for isp as well! i already had a big battle with her for my design n color as well as isp already last yr...stupid old-fashioned and outdated 'aunty' who cant see eye to eye with cool and funky ideas from younger generation peeps like us, insulting ppls artstuffs and the list goes on la....ok my class hasnt been announced yet but will be announced sometime this week....and i seriously dont want that class!!! i can kiss my gpa goodbye already if i were there....and i dont wish for a repeat of my poly saga....=(
please Lord...please dont throw me into that lion's den....=(

Teenager no more...soon
i know i shouldnt be reminding myself of this...but this is reality...needa face it sooner or later...the more i runaway the more reality hits harder...maybe i might not seem like ive alot of things on my mind but really, this is something tat has been crossing my mind for quite awhile...
quite alot of things been on my mind these days...like the fact that i have to carry out one-man shows alot...its quite scary to know about burdens i have to be prepared to carry pretty soon...cant reli depend much on other ppl out there and i wouldnt wanna be a parasite...pretty shameful if tats the case...im no longer that innocent primary 1 kid tat needs a school bus to send me to sch and back home from sch...im growing and gonna be a teen no more, and in future when i eventually get married and have my own kids and wife ill have to support apart from my parents...needa be prepared for hospital bills tat i needa prepare for them all on my own in future (touchwood)...and stuffs like whether my wife would be able to get along wif my parents and blah blah...even if i dont get married, i'll still needa think about how to fend for myself in terms of finances and etc...but then ill prolly have to lead a life of a loner for the rest of my life
doing things alone can be fun at times...gives u the freedom to do what u wan at yr own pace...for example, when im overseas just like the recent trip to italy, i would split up with my mum to shop for my stuffs along the shopping streets and meet at the meeting point at the time stated by the tour guide so that we dont need to wait for each other given the limited time we all have...that feeling was nice, the feeling of being somewhere out of singapore all on my own, doing my own shopping, taking my own pictures, looking for appropriate ppl to help me take pics of me wif backgrounds of cathedrals and at the same time be on the lookout for suspicious ppl and pickpockets and guarding my bag which contains my passport...it does give me a sense of being independent and feels nice and fun (prolly tats the reason why my sense of direction overseas is better than over here)...but it isnt all that nice when i need to go run errands or settle stuffs all by myself on my own...
one of my biggest fears is that (touchwood) both my parents would be gone in a flash in a few months/ 1 to 2 yrs down the road...(doesnt sound possible but doesnt seem impossible either)...wont wanna live wif relatives from either side...wouldnt feel nice and wont feel at home anyways cos that home really doesnt belong to u...i thank God for preserving my parents all the way til today...i rmb how i nearly lost my mum when i was in p3 but back then i was prolly still too young and too blur to understand...also, i rmb a speaker at an assembly talk in sec sch asking this qn about wat would i do if both my parents were gone...i think i didnt really ponder much abt this qn back then but now, looking at this qn, i dont think i know how to answer this qn....
i think its either im thinking too much or im not trusting God enough for my future...but thinking of some of these not-impossible scary uncertainties somehow shows how unprepared i am...
